For this month's CAC meeting, Humboldt State University Graduate Zack Erickson will be out guest speaker calling for Interview Participants for his thesis. Zack Erickson is a graduate student of the Department of Forestry, Watershed, and Wildland Sciences at Humboldt State University. His research project will utilize semi-structure interviews with Wiyot Tribal members to identify forest management objectives within an 880-acre property in Goukdi’n (Jacoby Creek) managed by Humboldt State University. With the data collected in the interviews he hopes that his project will help guide management of the forested property as Humboldt State University works toward developing a co-management relationship with the Wiyot Tribe.
