Hearts, Love and Affirmations
Wutw, Dishguk, Rra’dutwuk (hearts, love and affirmations) an exhibit by the Wiyot Tribe is scheduled to take place during the month of February at the Da Gou Rou Louwi’ Cultural center at 417 2nd Street in Eureka. The opening Reception of the exhibit is scheduled to take place during Arts Alive February 3rd, 2024, from 6-9 pm.
The exhibit will showcase Soulatluk (Wiyot Language) and teach visitors various way to express love in Soulatluk. Guests will learn how express love to people in their lives, how to say places they love, and things found in Wiyot Ancestral lands, and how to say the foods we love to eat. There will also be an affirmations section which will teach us how to speak kind words to ourselves and others in Soulatluk.
